2 Part Series

When an organization adopts OANO’s Standards for Excellence it is:
· Demonstrating program performance to funders
· Instilling client confidence
· Exhibiting quality services to volunteers
The Standards for Excellence are intended to describe how the most well managed and responsibly governed organizations should and do operate. During these educational clinics, OANO will address eight guiding principles, along with 58 Standards in nonprofit management. Areas that are covered include: Mission and Program; Governing Body; Conflict of Interest; Human Resources; Financial and Legal; Public Accountability; Fundraising; and Public Affairs and Public Policy.
Clinics will include presentations and resource materials to assist in implementing best practices. Lunch will also be provided.
Organizations must plan to participate on both dates as different information will be covered each day.
Fees:
Early Bird Member $200 (for 2 attendees per organization)
Early Bird Non-Member $400 (for 2 attendees per organization)
Regular Fee Member $300 after Early Bird (for 2 attendees per organization)
Regular Fee Non-Member $500 after Early Bird (for 2 attendees per organization)
Each organization attending the Clinic Series is encouraged to send two people to each of the four trainings, preferably the organization’s Executive Director and the Board Chair or another executive level staff person.
Allison Black Cornelius is a visionary, a creative thought leader whose strategic genius is rivaled only by her altruistic heart. When faced with personal challenges and harsh realities, she takes action, pursuing justice, building companies, rescuing the disenfranchised, writing legislation and developing leaders, to name a few ways this dynamo operates. Need we say more? We are honored to welcome the President and CEO of the Greater Birmingham Humane Society, the founder and CEO of Blackfish, a sexual abuse survivor, fierce advocate for abused children, a mother of four children and five beloved rescued pooches. – Faces of Birmingham “As an organization that has obtained the distinction of the Standards for Excellence Accreditation, The Dayton Foundation has first-hand experience with the benefits from ensuring best practices are in place throughout our organization. Through our funding of OANO’s Standards for Excellence Clinics, we seek to spread that high level of function and efficiency throughout our nonprofit community, resulting in a more effective use of donor funds.
